Michaela Hughes is the Director of Operations and Asset Management at Aryming Asset Management (AAM), where she oversees the firm’s operational strategy and supports the management of residential mortgage debt and real estate-related assets. With more than a decade of experience in operations and organizational leadership, Michaela plays a critical role in aligning the firm’s internal infrastructure with its investment and asset management objectives.
Since joining Aryming in 2020, Michaela has helped develop and strengthen the operational framework that supports the company’s expanding portfolio. She leads internal operations, team development, quality control initiatives, and cross-department coordination while also supporting the firm’s asset management and loss mitigation efforts across its residential mortgage debt portfolio. Known for bringing structure and clarity to complex processes, she helps ensure the organization runs efficiently as it continues to grow.
Michaela earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from New Jersey City University in 2019, a background that supports her strengths in communication, reporting, and operational strategy.
Prior to joining Aryming, Michaela gained experience working within both a multi-practice wellness organization and a nationwide B2B due diligence and background investigations firm. These roles provided exposure to diverse operational environments and strengthened her ability to manage systems, processes, and teams within fast-paced organizations.
Outside of the office, Michaela lives in Hazlet, New Jersey with her husband, their two daughters, and their spirited fur-baby Gigi, who keeps the household lively. She also serves as Board Secretary for The Cheerful Giver Company, a Bayonne-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to collecting and distributing food, school supplies, and essential items to communities both locally and internationally.
In both her professional and personal life, Michaela is driven by a genuine curiosity and a desire to continually learn. Whether refining operational strategy or picking up a new hobby, she enjoys the challenge of mastering something new. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, painting, and crocheting; creative outlets that balance the fast-paced world of asset management.
